Following Frahm, KAL 3 pp. 71 and 73, and based (loosely) on text no. 1 line 95, text no. 7 line 63, text no. 82 iii 17´–21´, and text no. 117 ii 70–71, possibly restore: [(...) ṣa-lam LUGAL-ti-ia --ma ep-še-et NÍG.È AN.ŠÁR EN-ia ša UGU mul-lu]-su-nu / [KUR.man-na-a-a ... e-te-ep-pu-šu UGU-šú áš-ṭur-ma i]-na É dAMAR.UTU é-kur-ri-šú-nu a-na da-ra-ti / [ul-ziz ...], “[(...) I made a royal image of myself and wrote upon it the victorious deeds of Aššur, my lord, that I continually carried out against Ullu]sunu, [the Mannean, ...; I erected (it)] (to stand) forever [i]n the temple of Marduk, their temple [...].”

Cf. text no. 82 iii 22´–25´.

Following Frahm, KAL 3 pp. 71 and 74, and partially based upon text no. 1 lines 96–97, possibly restore: [... UN.MEŠ a-ši-bu-ut URU.ḫar]-ḫar ú-zu-un-šú-un / [ul ib-ši-ma (...) mki-ba-ba EN URU-šú-nu ir-du-du-ma (...) mda]-al-ta-a ú-rab-bu-ú e-li-šú-un, “[... the people who live in the city Ḫarḫ]ar [possessed no] understanding [... they chased (away) Kibaba, their city lord, and (...)] elevated [Da]ltâ over the[m].”

E. Frahm (KAL 3 p. 74) compares this passage to one of Sennacherib’s describing the siege of Jerusalem and suggests that it might refer to the inhabitants of Ḫarḫar becoming afraid because of the possible consequences of their anti-Assyrian actions (line 10´; cf. for example ip-làḫ lìb-ba-šú-un, Grayson and Novotny, RINAP 3/1 p. 64 no. 4 line 43) and acquiring military aid to oppose an Assyrian attack (line 11´; cf. for example ir-šu-u til-la-a-te, Grayson and Novotny, RINAP 3/1 p. 66 no. 4 line 55).

As suggested by E. Frahm (KAL 3 p. 74), possibly [...] -tal-pit-su x [(x)], “[...] I destroyed it ...” or [...] x re-bit-su x [(x)], “[...] his/its plaza ...” The end of the line may simply be -su-un, “them/their.”

Likely a D-stem of the verb malû.

Following Frahm, KAL 3 pp. 71–72 and 74, possibly restore: [... i-na me-tiq ger-ri]-ia a-tu-[ram-ma] / [a-na URU.ḫar-ḫar (...) URU šu-a-tu ú]-ṣab-bi-su ak-[šud (x x)], “[... in the course of] my [campaign] I ret[urned to Ḫarḫar (...)], seized [that city], (and) co[nquered (it) ...].”

Following Frahm, KAL 3 pp. 72 and 74, and based on text no. 1 line 100 and text no. 7 line 63, possibly read: [... URU.kar-m]LUGAL-GI.NA šu-[um-šú ab-bi/az-kur], “[... I (re)named (it) Kār-Šarr]ukīn,” although the writing šu-um-šú here rather than MU-šú would be unusual in Sargon’s royal inscriptions.

Following Frahm, KAL 3 pp. 72 and 74, and based on text no. 82 iii 2´´ (also largely restored), possibly read: [... É.KUR šu-bat DINGIR.MEŠ GAL.MEŠ -šiš] e-pu--ma [x x x], “[...] I built [anew the temple, the abode of the great gods, ...].” Cf. also text no. 117 ii 44.
