As part of the Oracc platform, RINAP will provide a complete online index of names for all five of its published volumes, in addition to the corpus-specific indices included at the back of each book. Shortly after the publication of each book, the inscriptions edited in that volume will become public on this website, in a fully lemmatized and searchable format. A complete index of names appearing in those texts will also be made available at that time.
RINAP intends to provide complete indices of names for the volumes published by the now-defunct Royal Inscriptions of Mesopotamia (RIM) Project. Each sub-series of that project -- Assyrian Periods (RIMA), Babylonian Periods (RIMB), and Early Periods (RIME) -- will have its own index of names. The indices were originally prepared by Jamie Novotny for the RIM Project, but they were never published. This unpublished material was handed over to Grant Frame when he initiated the RINAP project. To ensure accuracy and to conform to the standards of RINAP, the indices for RIMA 1-3, RIMB 2, and RIME 1-4 have been carefully reviewed and slightly modified. The index of names for RIMA 1-3, RIMB 2, and RIME 1-4 have been completed and can be accessed via the links below.
