1The reading of the lines tentatively follows a proposal by E. Frahm and E. Weissert; see Sennacherib at the Gates of Jerusalem p. 179. The traces on Ass ph 5955–5956 seem to fit this reading of the signs. I. Finkel (apud Reade, Studies Larsen p. 463) suggests reading the name as fDÙG-x-dNIN.LÍL or as a name ending in -la-a; he also suggest that the title MUNUS.É.GAL “palace woman” was omitted after the name in error.
