For the god Aššur, the father of the gods, the great lord, his lord:

Sargon (II), king of the world, king of Assyria, governor of Babylon, king of the land of Sumer and A[kkad] renovated Eḫursaggalkurkurra (“House, the Great Mountain of the Lands”), the temple of (the god) Aššur, his lord, by plastering the walls of the towers all around the temple. He fashioned towers, friezes, parapets and glazed sikkatu-cones, and placed (them) all around [it (the temple)].

He built (these) in the temple of (the god) Aššur, his lord, for the sake of ensuring his good health, prolonging his days, firmly establishing his reign, (and) overthrowing his enemies.
