The Louvre obtained this small barrel-shaped cylinder or bead in 1889 from M. Barré de Lancy, who had acquired it in the region of Mosul. The piece is made of brown agate, with light bands, and is pierced lengthwise. It has a short dedicatory inscription of Sargon to the goddess Damkina.
