11	^mLUGAL-GI.NA MAN ŠÚ MAN KUR aš-šur.KI	(1) I, Sargon (II), king of the world, king of Assyria, built a city in accordance with my heart’s desire and named it Dūr-Šarrukīn. I built inside it a palace that was according to my wishes (and) that had no equal in the four quarters (of the world).

1The word taṣbâtu is attested only twice, here and in the Cuthean legend of Narām-Sîn. CAD T pp. 283–284 gives as the meaning of the word “wish (fulfilled), gratification” and translates the passage here as “a palace according to my wishes.” AHw p. 1337 tentatively translates the word as “Wunscherfüllungen.” See also Jacobsen in Loud, Khorsabad 1 p. 129 n. 2.

2Based on the published information on exs. 1 and 3–4 and on examination of ex. 2, each exemplar appears to have the extraneous wedge after TUK. The name of the palace is “The Palace That Has No Equal”; see text no. 2 line 473, text no. 7 line 159, and the note to text no. 53 line 4.
