(9b) the conqueror from the Upper Sea to the Lower Sea, the lands Ḫatti, Luḫuti, Damascus, Lebanon, Que, Tabal, (and) Melid; the one who has seen the sources of the Tigris River and Euphrates River. To avenge Marduk-zākir-šumi, (15) I marched to the land Akkad. [I] defeated Marduk-bel-uṣāti, (his) younger brother. I entered Cutha, Babylon, (and) Borsippa, (and) presented my sacrifices to the gods of the cult centers of the land Akkad. I went down to Chaldea (and) received tribute from all of the kings of Chaldea.

(21) When the great (inner) wall of my city, Aššur, and its outer wall, which the kings, my ancestors, who came before me, had previously built - (when) those walls became dilapidated and fell into ruin, I took (25) both of them, as a single work assignment, from the Tabira Gate to the Tigris River. I delineated their area (and) reached their foundation pit(s). On solid bedrock, I built (and) completed (them) from their foundation(s) to their crenellations. <I deposited> my commemorative inscription (and) returned the commemorative inscription(s) of the kings, my ancestors, to their places.
