Kish

Kish (Akkadian Kiš) is a cult center of the god Zababa and the goddess Baba. A number of texts provide information about the temples, shrines, walls, and ziggurat of this northern Babylonian city, modern Tell Uhaimir, which is located about 15 km east of Babylon. Edubba ("Storage House"), with its main cella Emeteursag ("House, Worthy of the Hero"), was Kish's principal temple; Melem-kurukurra-dulla ("(Whose) Radiance Spreads over (All) Lands") was its wall; and Eunirkitušmah ("House, Temple-Tower, Exalted Abode") and EgišhurbiGALAM.GALAM ("House Whose Ordinances are Skilfully Contrived") were its ziggurat and New Year's temple.
